• Lt. Colonel John Sullivan is the Hoenn Army Medical Corps, 3rd Division, 1st Medical Brigade Commander. His military career began in 2020. Though originally an enlisted soldier, he was selected for the Military's "Rapid Officer Development Initiative" after outstanding performance on the field.[break][break]
• Born and raised in the Viridian county of the Kanto region. His father was a farm worker, and his mother was a music teacher. He arrived to Hoenn as a refugee.[break][break]
• Records show his family was able to ride the last boat of refugees going to Johto following the complete collapse of the government during the Kanto-Rocket War. They immigrated to Hoenn following the failed Rocket invasion of Johto.[break][break]
• He is an orphan. His father died during the rocket occupation of Slateport City in 2018. His mother died during the New Year's Megalopolan bombing of Slateport's night market, in 2020.[break][break]
• As a very young soldier with a paradoxically high military rank, he serves as an effective poster boy for the military.[break][break]
• The Gym Leader of Mauville during the years 2021-2022. Became specially Popular and well-loved by the citizens after his performance at the Hoennian Starts Tournament 2021.[break][break]
• The Winner of the Hoennian Stars Tournament of 2021, an achievement that significantly boosted his popularity in polls across Hoenn, and put his name on the world stage of Professional Pokemon Battling.[break][break]
• A professional Pokemon Battler, making his debut on the World Stage in the Lumiose City Stadium, Kalos, in January 2022. His career has been put on hold since June 2023.[break][break]

WHAT THE LEAGUE KNOWS

• He was born on March 3, 2004 in the Green Forest Medical Center in Ubatura Village, a small settlement located several miles away from the Viridian County's most famous and largest settlement, Viridian City.[break][break]
• His father died during the Rocket Occupation of Slateport City.[break][break]
• His mother died during Blacephalon's bombing of Slateport City at 2019-2020 New Year.[break][break]
• His only living relative is his grandfather, a 73 years old kantonian man named Johnathan Ernest Freeman; he is a retired performer and musician.[break][break]
• On november 11, 2020, he was expelled from the Sootopolis Slums' based Archibald Teach Highschool due to a food fight related incident. However, he was able to obtain a High School Equivalency a week later.[break][break]
• He was fast-tracked through the military via an educational program intended to quickly train up new talent into low-ladder leaders, following the crippling of the Hoenn's military after the consecutive conflicts with Rocket and the Megalopolans.[break][break]
• He became a gym leader under the commendations of Eva Morales, Zac Ramsay, Thomas Benoit and Selena Desmarais. His appointment further accelerated his rise through the military ranks, becaming a famous as the youngest gym leader in Hoenn overnight.[break][break]
• As part of the aformentioned program, he is currently on the late half of his second year of College as a Military science major. His grades are a veritable sliding scale between top of the class and barely passable.[break][break]
• John Douglas Sullivan was signed up as a Member of AQUA towards late january 2022, as the current Avatar of Tapu Lele. As far as the league is aware, his avatar powers do not seem to be much different from illeana reyes's in her heyday.[break][break]
• He was part of the League's Mentoring program for the disabled for a time. He mentored Hideo Kino.[break][break]
• Demonstrated hyper qualifications as a physician and surgeon after the Galar Incident, despite having no education in the matter prior to the incident.[break][break]
• Performed surgery on Isaac Merlo, somehow tearing over 50 pounds of necrotic tissue out of the man and still ending the surgery with his patient being 20 pounds of muscle heavier than when it started.[break][break]

WHAT ROCKET KNOWS

What Rocket actually knows about Doug that isn't also known by the public.

• One of several folk holding an Arceus Plate.[break][break]
• One of several unfortunate souls present at the Catacombs underneath the Evergrande Church when that... happened. (YMCA)[break][break]
• I legit do not know if Rocket knows any more about Doug than the actual public. They haven't butted heads much.[break][break]
• Was amongst the leaguers comprising the team that liberated Elinor Anderson from captivity. Responsible for the changes in appearance of dorian westcliff.[break][break]

What only Doug and perhaps a select few know about him.

• Despite his young age at the time, he found himself as an emergency 'conscript' during the Rocket Takeover. It was not fun.[break][break]
• Curiously, his specific name is not noted amongst those who were aboard the last refugee ship from kanto to Johto. Only his parents and grandfather.[break][break]
• He met MATIAS SILPH at the time of the Rocket Kanto War, towards the end.[break][break]
• The source of his scars is the Kanto vs Rocket conflict.[break][break]
• His avatar skillset actually differs from illeana reyes's in her prime.[break][break]
